One tourist attraction in Kedah that you must not miss is the Tree Top Walk. Situated in the Sedim River Recreation Park in Karangan town, the Tree Top Walk is the world longest canopy walk, measuring 950 metres long. This magnificent canopy walk is constructed within the Gunung Inas Forest Reserve which is home to thousands of species of wildlife. As a result, the Tree Top Walk is an excellent place for wildlife enthusiasts especially those enjoy bird watching and animals sighting.
The attraction of the Tree Top Walk lies in its quiet and tranquil environment. The Gunung Inas Forest Reserve is undisturbed by development and has retained its natural environment.
Visitors can expect to have an exciting view of lush greenery and beautiful rushing streams while they are strolling above the ground of this primeval rainforest.
The canopy walk is situated at the height of 50m above ground. Therefore, you will have a spectacular view of the rainforest literally above the trees.

Tips When Visiting
Tree Top Walk Sedim River Recreational Park
There will be at least a 30 minutes walk through a jungle trail to the Tree Top Walk. The walk is not that difficult as the trail is clear and straight. But you will expect to have lots of sunlight and temperature is high especially between 11am to 4pm.
Therefore, you are highly recommended to carry lots of drinking water and perhaps some light snacks. There will be no food or water to buy after arriving at the entrance of the canopy walkway.
Visiting Hours
The Tree Top Walk opens daily from 8:30am to 5:30pm. It closes only when there is an extreme weather condition such as a heavy rain accompanied with lighting or when it gets windy.
Cost of Visit
It costs only RM10 per entry. Children and senior citizens can get a discount price.
Getting to Tree Top Walk
From Kuala Lumpur or Penang, you can take the North South Expressway (PLUS) heading towards north. Take the exit at Seberang Jaya into Butterworth – Kulim Expressway (BKE) to Kulim Hi-Tech Park. From there, drive towards Karangan town.

The nearest hotel to the Tree Top Walk is the Bintang Sedim Villa which is located right at the Sedim River Recreation Park. The Bintang Sedim Villa offers dormitory type of room with attached bathroom. The hotel can accommodate up to 120 visitors at any time.
Other nearest accommodations are located in Kulim which is about 30km away from the Gunung Inas Forest Reserve. There are basic to 2-star hotels available here.

This really looks breath taking! It indeed is a marvel looking at a canopy bridge which is actually 950 meters long. It seems like one stop destination when I visit Malaysia in the coming few months.
